Day 01: Arrive jammu – On to pahalgam
Welcome to Jammu, the City of Temples. On arrival at Airport / Railway Station in Jammu, begin your tour of ‘Kashmir – Paradise on Earth’. Proceed on a picturesque drive to Pahalgam. On arrival, check-in to your hotel.
The rest of the day is at leisure.

Day 02: Pahalgam
The day is at leisure to admire the beauty of this quiet place. One can enjoy a pony ride to nearby places like Chandanwari (on your own) or simply walk along the Lidder. Filmgoers will recognize it instantly as it has been a favourite location in several movies.

Day 03: On to srinagar
Today, drive to Srinagar. En route, make a brief visit to Awantipura Ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Arrive into Srinagar and check-in to your houseboat.
In the afternoon, visit the Mughal Gardens – Shalimar Garden, ChashmeShahi and Nishant Gardens (Closed on Friday). With terraced lawns, cascading fountains, paint-box-bright flowerbeds with the panorama of the Dal in front of them, the three Mughal Gardens were the Mughal Emperors’ concept of paradise, where they relaxed with their exquisite queens. Today, they are popular picnic spots. Later, visit the Shankaracharya Temple situated atop a hill. ShankaracharyaMandir is regarded as the oldest temple in the valley of Kashmir. The structure of the temple boasts about the architectural style of that time. It is believed that Shankaracharya, the great philosopher, lived here during his trip to Kashmir. Ever since, the temple came to be known as the Shankaracharya Temple.
The rest of the evening is at leisure for independent activities. You can enjoy shopping at the local market (on your own) for papier-mache items ranging from jewellery boxes to mirror frames, a range of intricately carved walnut wood furniture and accessories, stone jewellery boxes, beautiful woollen shawls etc.

Day 04: Srinagar – Day excursion to sonmarg
Today, transfer from your houseboat to hotel in Srinagar. En route embark on a full day excursion to the picturesque ‘Meadow of Gold’ – Sonmarg.
Sonmarg is synonymous with quiet meadows and flower-carpeted fields surrounded by amazing glaciers, miniature plateaus, snowfields, pines and islets. You can opt for a pony ride (on your own) to one of the glaciers for some fun in the snow and ice. The rest of the evening is at leisure for you to explore the city on your own. You can soak up the atmosphere and enjoy the breathtaking beauty of this city or continue to indulge in shopping!

Day 05: Srinagar – Day excursion to gulmarg
This morning, proceed to Gulmarg driving past willow trees, fast-flowing streams, and lush green meadows. Gulmarg – the ‘Meadow of Flowers is an apt term for this idyllic flower-laden spot, offering a spectacular view of towering snow-capped peaks covered with dense forests of tall conifers, gigantic firs, and pine trees.
The rest of the evening is at leisure. You may wish to stroll leisurely across the green meadows to one of the world’s highest Golf Courses. You may also wish to take a fun-filled ride in the Gondola (on your own).

Day 06: On to katra
This morning, drive to Katra where you will check-in to your hotel on arrival.

Day 07: In katra * Trek to mata vaishnodevi
Today, embark on a 14 km trek to the Vaishnodevi Mata Shrine where ponies can be hired on direct payment basis. Every day of the year, a mass of humanity surges up steep pathways that cut across the hillside for mile after mile. Popular belief holds that anybody who walks the Himalayan trail to her abode to ask for a wish rarely goes back disappointed.
There are many who journey here to pay obeisance regardless of their faith, class, caste, or religion, for Mata Vaishnodevi transcends all such barriers. After Darshan, return to your hotel.

Day 08: Depature katra – On to jammu
Today, bid farewell to your ‘Kashmir – Paradise on Earth’ tour as you are transferred to the Airport / Railway Station in Jammu for your onward journey.
Walk around the worlds highest Golf Course in Gulmarg.
Discover the Awantipura Ruins, an 1100 year old temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu.
Enjoy a Shikara ride on Dal Lake.
Visit the oldest Shankracharya Temple and the beautiful Mughal Gardens in Srinagar.
