Day 01: Arrive leh
Welcome to your ‘Ladakh – Roof of the world with Pangong’ tour! Arrive at Airport in Leh where you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Leh is in the abode of the rocky paradise of Ladakh depicting eternal beauty and wrapped in the most beautiful design of mighty Himalayas.
Since it is located at an altitude of over 3000m above sea level, it is imperative that you spend rest of the day acclimatizing to the climate of Ladakh.

Day 02: In leh
Today, proceed on a full-day excursion visiting Shey Palace, the 15th century summer palace and monastery of Leh’s Royal family; the 800 year old gompa at Thiksey built on a hilltop and modelled on the famous Potala Palace in Lhasa. Later, visit Hemis Monastery hidden in a gorge, the largest and wealthiest gompa in Ladakh. Then, visit Stok Palace Museum. In the evening, enjoy a panoramic view of Leh town from Shanti Stupa, built by the Japanese.

Day 03: In leh * Excursion to alchi
Today, proceed on a full day excursion to Alchi, situated on the banks of Indus River. The monastery of Alchi is famous for its 1000 year old wall paintings which exist in a dark room and can be seen under torchlight. En-route visit the Likir Monastery, famous for its giant statue of Maitreya Buddha and its numerous old Tank. Enjoy a photo stop at the Sangam of the Indus and Zanskar rivers. Return to Leh in the evening.

Day 04: On to pangong lake
After breakfast, drive to the amazing Pangong to the east of Leh, crossing Changla Pass (17500 ft / 5300 mts). Pangong is one of the largest lakes in the Himalayas spanning 140 kms in length and 3-10 kms in width, half of which is in Tibet. Explore the crystal clear blue salt water lake.
The rest of the day is at leisure to explore Pangong.
Overnight in Camp in Pangong (B, L, D)
Day 05: On to leh
Check out from the camp at Pangong after breakfast and drive back to Leh. The rest of the day is at leisure for independent activities.

Day 06: Depart leh * Return home with happy memories
Today, bid farewell to your ‘Ladakh – Roof of the world with Pangong’ tour as you are transferred to the airport for your onward journey.
